The photographs below show a number of dovetailed tables which I have given a family name of 'Dovetable'. These are contemporary sculptural designs traditionally made to the highest standards of craftsmanship from solid hardwoods (mainly European oak), which can be ordered directly from my studio workshop in Ashbourne or in the shops and galleries listed below. The very strong joint used in their construction is the 'through dovetail' which I cut by hand using both dovetail and coping saws with wood chisels - a classic way of jointing solid timber that has been around for centuries. These can all be made to order to any given size. I have plans to produce writing tables using the same design/construction.
