When possible I love to paint out on site - the best way I feel to really observe the unique character and topographical features of the Peak District landscape. A keen photographer, I also use my own photographic images for reference - using digital camera media in conjunction with a traditional sketchbook when there isn't time to paint in out in the open. From this information, back in my studio, I produce figurative landscape studies (mainly in oils) concentrating more on pictorial composition and the effects of light on the dramatic Peak District landscape.

The dimensions given are for the overall size of image (height x length) and don't include mount/frame (frames available - click here). All paintings are sold without frames unless stated. Original paintings on paper are sold with a card window mount.
