The German Pavilion, Barcelona

Watercolour LC133

The German Pavilion, Barcelona, was originally designed by Mies van der Rohe for the 1929 'International Exhibition'. It's a wonderful example of early modernist architecture constructed in marble and glass with shallow pools of water. This painting was awarded 1st Prize at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists (Spring 2005) 'Open All Media Exhibition'.
